Robot is a mechanical device which can perform various human tasks by its own automatically or through remote control. Robotics is the study of robot technology and the applications of robots. People know that it can be operated remotely and the term which represents it is Telerobotics.
There are three laws of robotics which is proposed by Asimov.
- First law depicts that a robot should not harm a human being through inactions.
- Second law is a robot should obey the rules ordered by human beings.
- Third law is a robot must protect its own presence.
A robot is able to sense the speech, vision, temperature, touch, light, sound, position and acceleration. And it is designed in such a way to plan a task effectively, classify plans, learn and motion planning. Robots are used for different applications in space missions, medical science, and bomb disposal. Students design and develop Robotics based Final Year Projects during their graduation and implement new concepts to identify underwater and volcano exploration.
